RANGE: Mainly Africa, into Asia
HABITAT: Live alone or in pairs or family groups in open country, desert, savannah.
SIZE: About 4 feet. The tail adds a further 2 1/2 feet.
DIET: Carnivorous. Small antelope. Birds like young Ostriches. Hares. Jackals. Occasionally domestic animals.
CONSERVATION STATUS: Vulnerable to extinction.
NOTES:.The fastest land creature. Capable of up to 70mph. The long tail helps balance.
